Travel Superbook #10 Book 3. South Pacific Islands Travel Guide
The South Pacific Islands are sometimes called Oceania. Naura and Kiribaldi are up north relatively speaking midway between Hawaii and Australia.
Most of the rest jut down in an archipelago starting at Papaua, New Guinea except for Fiji, Western Samao and Tonga off to the east on their own then further east of that is French Polynesis / Tahiti off on its own.
Bougainville is technically part of Papua New Guinea although most natives don't think so.
East Timor was a Catholic island in Indonesia, a former Portuguese colony, who voted for independence in 1999 whereupon Indonesia invaded and claimed it as its 27th province. It is now an independent country. Indonesia is out. It is a mostly Catholic island. Technically, it got independence from mostly Moslem Indonesia in 1999 but it's still dangerous. Nice place once it develops the infrastructure destroyed by Indonesian army.
The Marshall Islands is made up of 29 coral atolls. It is a Micronesian island nation located in the Western Pacific Ocean, north of Nauru and Kiribati. The population is 60,000. The capital is Majuro. You need a passport to enter the Marshall Islands.

It is very obvious that the author of this book has actually been to the South Pacific - he is very enthusiastic about the area - and sincerely wants his readers to love it too! We have followed the book's on two trips and have found the advise to be 100% accurate. I highly recommend this book - it can be trusted.
South Pacific Anchorages
This second edition contains numerous revisions to both text and plans. Warwick Clay's cruising guide covers the South Pacific from the Mariana Islands in the northwest across to the Galapagos in the east then down passed Easter Island to New Zealand in the Southwest. The guide covers this vast area in detail and virtually every anchorage is described with supporting plans produced from the author's own information.
"I am planning a passage to the South Pacific in the next year. Since this will be my first experience in the South Pacific this book gives me an excellent starting point. This guide covers a vast area of detail and virtually every anchorage is described with supporting plans. This book gives great detail as to where when and how. This is first hand information from the authors years of sailing in this area. Warwick Clay has done an excellent job complying this wonderful resource."
