I needed a basic phone for pay-as-you-go texting and the occasional call. I find I am using the calendar, notes and tasks and setting reminders - in fact I believe I am a budding expert. Had a few problems transferring recordings - it saves in AMR format which my MP3 player has not heard of! These have to be converted first and I downloaded a converter from the internet free of charge. Seems silly to have these different formats but what do I know? However, this was not my main purpose for buying the product - also please note that its camera does not record movies - but I am thrilled with this phone because it does what it says on the box and you can't be fairer than that.

if like me you're on a SIM only deal and don't want to be tie in with a lenghty contract.
The only dowside would be the battery life is shorthan than I would expect for a new phone, especially when I don't use the music option , every day.
I've been faithful to Sony Ericsson phone make , because of the MP3 facility really. The built-in camera is basic , and will do simple picture. This phone menu is quite simple , yet effective.

I've forgotten that the Memory extension would have to a SONY make and bought the wrong M2 SD card. My mistake.
Apart from that , this phone is brilliant!

For the price, this phone seems to offer quite a good spec. And the user-interface is fairly pleasant and fast. However the biggest downfall on this phone is the keyboard. The keys are impossible to read in strong sunlight, and also very hard to press precisely, often leading to presses of the wrong keys. I'm a fast touch type with thin fingers, so this is down to poor design. The 3G signal on this phone is fairly poor and the 2G signal isn't much better. After 6 months use the phone's screen suddenly went fizzy like a TV out of tune, then died completely. Nothing had happened to the phone prior to this, it had been sitting in my pocket.

A friend was also given this phone by his mum, who had bought it but didn't like it. His conclusion was also that it was pants, and he gave it away himself!

So overall, this phone looks good from the spec but is a pain to use, has a poor connection and mine just suddenly died after 6 months. Recommendation: spend a bit more and get a mid-range Android like the Galaxy Gio, or spend a little less and get a phone you don't care about.
