I purchased this battery for a Nokia 6230, it holds a charge the same as the original battery included with the phone. The battery was purchased directly from Amazon, not through a marketplace seller. While Amazon's price is higher than the marketplace sellers, it is still about 15 less than R.Shack. Amazon's battery is genuine, I was able to confim authenticity at the Nokia web site, where I entered the 20 digit scratch off number located on the front of the battery.

This battery - it's big. It's very very big. It's like, big. Okay, so that's the downside of this battery out of the way, let's concentrate on the upsides. This is a third-party battery that fits nicely on the back of an AA1, lifting the unit at a 10 degree angle. You can't see that from the Amazon picture but hopefully the picture I've added will be up soon and it shows the size of this battery. As for usage, it took 4 hours to charge from flat to full, and with my AA1 (XP, 1GB, 160GB HD) running with the screen on @ 70% brightness (and not switching off), HD not powering down & in use 50% of the time, CPU running at 50%, wlan on and in use, it lasted 6 hours. That's amazing. With the screen switching off after 5 mins, and HD powering down after 10, the CPU at rest & wlan on, it lasted just over 10 hours.

The HTC Desire HD is a well known power hog. Coupled with the measily capacilty of the default part, battery life is one of the major disadvanatges of what is otherwise a superb smartphone. I'm happy to say that with this battery I'm experiencing a 25-35% increase in usage time before the phone goes in to battery saver mode. I've not experienced any problems with the battery overheating or any charging issues so I think it's safe to say that this after-market part is fully compatable with the phone. Highly recommended to all of us who get frustrated with the battery life of the Desire HD, and provides excellent value for money.

Very good battery. Still drains fairly quickly but certainly an improvement on what came with the phone...arrived promptly (within four days) from the seller. I think part of why it drains more quickly than I would ideally like is because I browse on WIFI a lot. Would still recommend though, as I can enjoy two or three hours of browsing using WIFI or all day use as a general phone with minimal 3g browsing, which seems reasonable with what's now available. While back casing isn't as nice as what came with phone, it nonetheless works fine and is easy enough to get off.
