Mangalagiri Vijayawada Andhra Prades
Mangalagiri is a town in Mangalagiri mandal, located in Guntur district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is situated on National Highway 5 between Vijayawada and Guntur. The town is one of the 12 municipalities of Guntur district, administered under Guntur revenue division.
According to a legend, the mountain on which the temple is located in the form of an elephant. This holy placed was visited by Hrasva Srungi, son of King Pariyatra. When his father came to bring him back to his kingdom, Hrasva Srungi took the shape of an elephant and became the abode of Lord Vishnu, known as Panakala Lakshmi Narasimhaswamy.
