Mother Nature shows again its romantic designs. I dug up on the internet and got surprised at just how many heart-shaped lakes, islands, forest there are in the world....
Lake Pupuke is a heart-shaped freshwater lake occupying a volcanic explosion crater (or maar) between the suburbs of Takapuna and Milford on the North Shore of Auckland, New Zealand.
The heart shape is a result of its formation by the linking of two circular craters - a larger one forming most of the lake and a smaller one forming the arm in the northeast. Separated from the sea by less than 200 m at one point, it has a circumference of about 4.5 km and reaches 57 m in depth. It is popular for recreational activities and the lakefront property around it.
TRNOVACKO LAKE MONTENEGRO
Trnovacko Lake (Trnovacko jezero) is a lake in northern Montenegro, best known for its heart-like shape. Located at an altitude of 1517 metres, it is popular with local summer campers. It is 700 metres (2,300 ft) long and 400 metres (1,300 ft) wide set amidst a "huge amphitheater of rocky peaks". The lake is drained from the Maglic, the Maja e Vjelakut and the Bioc hill ranges. The north side of the lake which is open has the wooded Vratnice. The lake water has a deep green-blue colour.

The Yedigoller National Park ("seven lakes") is located in the north of the Bolu Province, Turkey.
The park is best known for the lakes formed by landslides and for the rich plant life. There are beech trees, oaks, hornbeams, firs, spruces, alders and black pines etc. in the area.

NETRANI ISLAND INDIA
Netrani (also known as Pigeon Island) is a small island of India located in the Arabian Sea. It is off the coast of Karnataka situated approximately 10 nautical miles (19 km) from the temple town of Murudeshwara. Views from above give this island the appearance of being heart-shaped. Besides pigeons, the other inhabitants of the island are wild goats. This island has scuba diving facilities and the place is easily accessible from Mangalore, Goa, Mumbai or Bangalore.

This lovely heart-shaped lake lies high up in the Pyrenees National Park in France. It sits at an elevation of 2003 meters and the best view is from the top of Montagnon Iseye (2173m). The famed pilgrimage site of Lourdes is only about 20 miles (32 kilometers) from Pyrenees National Park, and the town is a stop on France's TGV high speed railway. From Lourdes buses and private transportation are available to villages near the park itself.

One of the loveliest heart-shaped lakes is the aptly named Hart Lake in Canada. Lying in the eponymous conservation area in Brampton, Ontario, the lake is popular with the locals. Brampton is a Canadian city in Southern Ontario. It is a suburban city in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and the seat of Peel Region.
St. Paul's Bay, Lindos
Lindos is an archaeological site, a town and a former municipality on the island of Rhodes, in the Dodecanese, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Rhodes, of which it is a municipal unit. It lies on the east coast of the island. It is about 50 km south of the town of Rhodes and its fine beaches make it a popular tourist and holiday destination. Lindos is situated in a large bay and faces the fishing village and small resort of Haraki.
Island in Gutierrez Lake Patagonia Argentina
When viewed from the east side of Lake Gutierrez in Patagonia, Argentina, this island is distinctly heart shaped. Located in a beautiful valley in the Nahuel Huapi National Park southwest of San Carlos de Bariloche, the expansive 11 km (7 miles) lake is surrounded by mountains. The lake’s clear waters are very susceptible to climate change and have an average surface temperature of 45 °F (7 °C). Hypothermia is one of the risks bathers must endure. Kayaking is a popular sport on this and adjacent lakes.

This huge, natural heart shape in the mangrove swamps near the seaside village of Voh in the northwest of New Caledonia in the Pacific Ocean east of Australia, is quite extraordinary.
The mangrove forest is a formation of several species of mangrove with an intricate intertwined root system and other trees adapted to the environment. The vegetation grows on a bed of mud. The landscape is distinctive for the tropical low coasts. This medium, unlike any other is biologically rich and extremely specialized.
Lake Borebukta, Norway
Located not quite 1,000 km (620 miles) from the North Pole, the Norwegian island of Spitzbergen is home to what has been dubbed the "pool of love." Said to have formed when the glaciers in the chain of islands that make up the Svalbard archipelago receded, it is a hollow in the earth that is now between 27 m to 36 m (90 to 120 ft) deep.

"Guandu Nature Park" is a low - lying land area located southwest of the Guandu Plain in Taipei Basin, where the Keelung River joins the Tamsui River. The main environments of the park are freshwater ponds, brackish ponds, swamps, rice paddies and mounds. Because of the diverse ecological environment, the area is home to numerous varieties of animals and plants.
The Whitsunday islands are a popular tourist destination for travellers to Queensland and the Great Barrier Reef with the area being one of the most popular yachting destinations in the Southern Hemisphere. The island received about 700,000 visitors between March 2008 and March 2009.
The Ngaro Sea Trail Great Walk is a mix of seaways and short walks, crossing South Molle, Hook and Whitsunday islands. The tracks across the islands are linked by seaways suited to kayaking, sailing or powerboating. Camping is available at eight camping areas on the three islands. Several islands have large resorts, offering a wide variety of accommodation and activities.
Eros Lake in Chembra
Chembra Peak is the highest peak in Wayanad, at 2,100 m (6,900 ft) above sea level. Chembra is located near the town of Meppady and is 8 km (5 mi) south of Kalpetta. It is part of the Wayanad hill ranges in Western Ghats, adjoining the Nilgiri Hills in Tamil Nadu and Vellarimala in Kozhikode district in Kerala. Chembra Peak is accessible by foot from Meppady. District Tourism Promotion Council provides guides and trekking equipment on hire charges to tourists.
GALESNJAK ISLAND, CROATIA
Galesnjak (also called Island of Love, Lover's Island, Otok za Zaljubljene) is located in the Pasman channel of the Adriatic, between the islands of Pasman and the town of Turanj on mainland Croatia. It is one of the worlds few naturally occurring heart-shaped objects.
The island has a surface area of 0.132 km2, with its beach measuring 1.55 km in length. The island features two peaks, the highest of which is 36 m high above sea level.
Hole near Hampi in India
This amazing heart-shaped hole located near Hampi, Karnataka in south India is close to Black Lake on the Thungabhadra River, which is an ancient geological region. Unlike the usual lakes and other bodies of water one normally finds on earth, this heart-shaped “hole” was formed by the river over billions of years, slowly forming an amazing natural sculpture. The shape that formed was purely incidental, but is nonetheless very beautiful, and of course heart-shaped.
Shangrila Lake, Pakistan
Shangrila Lake or Lower Kachura Lake is a part of the Shangrila resort located at a drive of about 20 minutes from Skardu (nearly 2,500 m or 8,200 feet) town.
It is a popular tourist destination, and has a unique restaurant that is built on the fuselage of an aircraft that had crashed nearby.

Daskalio is a tiny uninhabited Greek islet in the Cyclades just off the west coast of the larger island Keros. Its diameter is approximately 150 metres. Excavation by the Cambridge Keros Project in 2008 revealed a large Bronze Age settlement.
